Title: GETARAN - DANCE PAVILION

Brief: Dance Pavilion is to create an open space which allow people to visit and spend time in it. Dancers need a platform to get more opportunities for the public to discover the beauty of dance cultures even modern or traditional dance. This place allow all type of dances participant at here to promote dance culture also enhance people art sense in Johor Bahru.

View from entrance - Amphitheatre

The main area in ground floor, a space that allows the participant to blend in with amphitheater, exhibition and cafe. It include the combination of modern and traditional dance at ampitheatre; Malaysian’s artist art work and photography at exhibition. It is a public area that can have different experiences with no tickets required. Also, there is a chillax area which allows the participants to make friends in a relaxing way.

Reception & Waiting Area

The design of reception and waiting area are echoes with the ceiling hanging structure design . The reception that helps participants can plan with their show before conduct the event.

Cafe

Fully utilized each of the column design as LED screen to display different types of dancing show, and, the public can appreciate the Malaysian’s art work infront the column at the same time. Cafe was located beside the amphitheatre that can attract  people attention of the special seating design.

First Floor corridor

Auditorium is located at second floor. The corridor can be also one of the place for dancing, because dancing is anywhere and it should not only in the auditorium or studio.

Auditorium

A formal performance wil be conduct at auditorium that provide full of equipment such as light and sound hence the audience can experience the visual and auditory effects when the dancer was performing.

Public Dancing Area

 Another mini amphitheatre located behind the dance studio so the dancer can have an improvisation choreography to the audience.

Reception

Infront of the reception is a multipurpose area which is seating also dancing area. It has provided with full high mirror so the dancer can enjoy their dance at here.

Dance Studio 1-3

These studio are conneted together however each studio has divided by using folding door. Hence, it is convenience for the user regardless of a dance troupe or several dancer to open and close it.
